Uma Wang

This morning Uma Wang has been our guest at the university. First, Riccardo Bruni from Lyria, a fabric designer who works with her, have told us about his job and about the collaboration with Uma. Then, Uma showed us some mood boards of her collections, we have watched her spring/summer 2013 fashion show - I can't find the video, but here you can see the collection - and she have answered our questions. 
This seems really simple, it's basically what we do when we have special guests, but she have left me speechless. She have walked into the room and greeted us with one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen. It was so pure, sincere, and sweet.
She seems beautiful inside and out. She had no makeup on, but she was amazing anyway. She is tall, thin and she has waistline length silky hair. Although Uma is well-known all over the world, she seems so humble, kind, and nice.
I love her creations, through them we can clearly see Japanese fashion designers influence, but, although she is a big fan of Rei Kawakubo, they are feminine. I would totally wear her clothes.

Stamattina Uma Wang è stata nostra ospite all'università. Prima, Riccardo Bruni di Lyria, un fabric designer che lavora con lei, ci ha raccontato del suo lavoro e della sua collaborazione con Uma. Poi, Uma ci ha mostrato alcuni mood board delle sue collezioni, abbiamo guardato la sua sfilata primavera/estate 2013 (non riesco a trovare il video, ma qui potete vedere la collezione)  e ha risposto alle nostre domande.
Questo sembra molto semplice, fondamentalmente è quello che facciamo quando abbiamo ospiti speciali, ma lei mi ha lasciato senza parole. È entrata nella stanza e ci ha salutato con uno dei più bei sorrisi che io abbia mai visto. Era così puro, sincero e dolce.
Sembra bellissima fuori e dentro. Non era truccata, ma era favolosa comunque. È alta, magra e ha dei capelli setosi che le arrivano alla vita. Nonostante Uma sia famosa in tutto il mondo, sembra così umile, gentile e simpatica.
Amo le sue creazioni, attraverso di essi possiamo chiaramente vedere l'influenza degli stilisti giapponesi, ma, nonostante sia una grande fan di Rei Kawakubo, sono femminili. Indosserei assolutamente i suoi abiti.
