Stripes

Lately I've been finding myself wearing many basic pieces and prints. My absolute favourite is this striped three quarter sleeve cotton top from ZARA. It goes with everything, but I like pairing it with masculine pieces such as darted trousers and derby shoes or feminine ones such as a plain black mini skirt and over the knee high boots. Saying stripes will be big this spring makes me laugh, it's an evergreen print.
I saw oblique coloured ones everywhere, but I prefer black and white, thin ones. Here are a few examples.

Ultimamente mi trovo ad indossare molti capi e stampe basic. Il mio preferito in assoluto è questa maglietta di cotone a righe con maniche a tre quarti di ZARA. Sta bene con tutto, ma mi piace abbinarla con capi maschili come pantaloni con pinces e stringate o pezzi femminili come una semplice minigonna nera e dei cuissardes. Dire che le righe andranno molto di moda questa primavera mi fa ridere, è una stampa intramontabile.
Dappertutto ne ho viste di oblique e colorate, ma preferisco quelle bianche, nere e sottili. Ecco alcuni esempi.

Donut bun

I like choosing the right clothes and makeup before hanging out, but I'm so lazy when it comes to tame my hair! I love wearing my hair up and I was getting bored with a ponytail, so I decided to buy this donut at H&M and I really like it. It allows you to get a voluminous, neat bun or a messy one in a few minutes. I don't like mine to be too sleek as you can see.

Mi piace scegliere gli abiti e il trucco giusti prima di uscire, ma sono così pigra quando si tratta di domare i miei capelli! Adoro portare i capelli raccolti e mi stavo stancando della coda, quindi ho deciso di comprare questa ciambella da H&M e mi piace molto. Permette di ottenere uno chignon voluminoso, ordinato o uno disordinato in pochi minuti. Non mi piace che il mio sia troppo ordinato come potete vedere.
Avete mai indossato una ciambella per capelli? Vi piace?

A great mascara for contact lenses wearers

Initially I was searching for the perfect volumizing mascara, when I thought I had to find one which suited me as a contact lenses wearer. It shouldn't had fallen out, it shouldn't had sticked my lashes together, it shouldn't had made my eyes burn, it should had been volumizing, and not that lengthening because I have long lashes. I watched loads of reviews on YouTube, especially those about the famous "The Falsies" by Maybelline, but I heard many positive comments on "The Colossal" too.

Inizialmente stavo cercando il mascara volumizzante perfetto, quando ho pensato che avrei dovuto trovare quello che mi sarebbe andato bene come indossatrice di lenti a contatto. Non avrebbe dovuto colare, non avrebbe dovuto appiccicarmi le ciglia insieme, non avrebbe dovuto farmi bruciare gli occhi e avrebbe dovuto essere volumizzante e non tanto allungante visto che ho le ciglia lunghe. Ho guardato tantissime recensioni su YouTube, soprattutto quelle sul famoso "Ciglia Finte" di Maybelline, ma ho anche sentito molti commenti positivi sul "The Colossal".

On the back of the packaging I read it was suitable for contact lenses so I bought it. It's true, although I was searching for a volumizing mascara and this is not the best one I've ever tried (if you curl your lashes before applying it, it's perfect though).
When we apply mascara we often happen to have it also on the upper rim of the eye. When The Colossal's wand reaches it, it doesn't burn at all. We could cry for hours, it wouldn't burn. It doesn't fall out, it doesn't stick my lashes together, it volumizes but - as I've already said, if you don't curl your lashes - it's not as great as it claims to be, it lengthens, and it's really black. It's a really good mascara.

Sul retro della confezione ho letto che era adatto a chi indossa le lenti a contatto quindi l'ho comprato. E' vero, nonostante stessi cercando un mascara volumizzante e questo non è il migliore che io abbia provato (se curvate le ciglia prima di applicarlo, è perfetto però).
Quando applichiamo il mascara spesso ci capita di averlo anche nella rima superiore dell'occhio. Quando lo scovolino del The Colossal la raggiunge, non brucia per niente. Potremmo piangere per ore, non brucerebbe. Non cola, non mi appiccica le ciglia insieme, volumizza ma, come ho già detto, se non curvate le ciglia, non è fantastico come dichiara di essere, allunga ed è molto nero. E' davvero un buon mascara.

People often ask me "Is there something you like in this world?". Yeah, there is, but talking about what I hate is funnier. Anyway, I decided to create a new label called "Giulia Loves" to write about things I love. This is one of the loveliest perfume commercials I've ever seen. A few years ago I saw the making of this commercial (watch an amazing making of here) and I instantly thought it would have been beautiful.

I love Natalie Portman, I love her as an actress and because she is beautiful, and tiny. She is naive, romantic and flirty at the same time.

I fell in love with the contrast between her little black dress and the muted hues of the decor. Those white and pale pink roses give light to the room and add a delicate feel to the entire commercial. I can't say much about Sofia Coppola because I've watched just one movie of hers so far, but a few scenes remind me of it, I'm talking about "The Virgin Suicides".

Yesterday I saw this thirty-one seconds of perfection after a long time and I can't stop watching it.

Spesso la gente mi chiede "C'è qualcosa che ti piace in questo mondo?". Sì, c'è, ma parlare di quello che detesto è più divertente. Comunque, ho deciso di creare una nuova etichetta chiamata "Giulia Loves" per scrivere di quello che adoro. Questa è una delle pubblicità di profumi più adorabile che io abbia mai visto. Qualche anno fa ho visto il making of di questa pubblicità (guardate un making of stupendo qui) e ho pensato subito che sarebbe stata bellissima.

Adoro Natalie Portman, la adoro come attrice e perché è una bellissima e minuscola. E' ingenua, romantica e provocante allo stesso tempo.

Mi sono innamorata del contrasto tra il suo abitino nero e i colori tenui dell'arredamento.

Quelle rose bianche e rosa pallido donano luce alla stanza e aggiungono un tocco delicato all'intera pubblicità. Non posso dire molto su Sofia Coppola perché ho guardato uno solo dei suoi film finora, ma alcune scene me lo ricordano, sto parlando de "Il giardino delle vergini suicide".

Ieri ho visto questi trentuno secondi di perfezione dopo tanto tempo e non riesco a smettere di guardarla.
